It's official! On June 2, 2008, I assumed my role as CEO of the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
On June 5, 2008, nearly 300 Susan G, Komen for the Cure advocates from across the United States rallied in Washinton, D.C. and met with members of Congress to discuss new cancer legislation being proposed by Senators Edward M. Kennedy and Kay Bailey Hutchinson.
Since the release of the Through the Wrong Door report at the Komen Community Challenge in January, Komen Greater NYC has been working with New York policymakers in hope of getting the recommendations implemented by the State, providing breast health coverage for all women.

September 10, 2008 City in Pink kicks off Komen NYC Race for the Cure week, saluting our sponsors, supporters and the buildings all over town that light up in pink in honor of those who have been affected by breast cancer.
September 14, 2008 Run breast cancer out of town!
October 11, 2008 2008 marks the 12th year of the BMW Ultimate Drive: drive a new BMW and earn $1.00 per test-driven mile for Komen.
