Komen Greater New York City
Race for the Cure®
September 8, 2013
Komen Greater NYC Grants & Public Health/ Public Policy Graduate level interns will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects related to grant making and public health policy. Some intern responsibilities include assisting with grant compliance, assessing grant progress reports, as well as scheduling and attending site visits to grantee organizations. In the public policy arena, interns will work on policy research projects that improve access to health care with particular attention to breast cancer. This is a great opportunity to learn about grant making, foundation work and public policy, although the focus is on grant making. We are looking for an MPH candidate who is interested in a part-time internship and can work a minimum of 14 hours a week during business hours (9am - 5pm) from mid-October 2012 mid-May 2013. This is a paid internship.
For anyone interested in applying for a Grants & Public Health/ Public Policy Graduate level internship, please contact Zenia E. Dacio-Mesina, Grants Program Coordinator, by sending a resume, cover letter, and short writing sample (no more than 5 pages) to zdmesina@komennyc.org or call (212) 461-6185. Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
