Ping Pong (and Pool) for the Cure - 2013

Ping Pong and now Pool

What: : An afternoon of Ping-Pong, Pool, fun, and games, to promote breast cancer awareness and raise money for the Greater NYC Affiliate of Susan G. Komen For the Cure to fund local breast health programs and national breast cancer research.

When: Sunday, January 27th, 2013 from 3pm - 6pm

Where: Slate NYC. 54 West 21st Street, New York, NY 10010
(On the southeast corner of 21st and 6th)

Why: Because raising money for a great cause should be fun!

There will be: A live DJ, full kitchen, bar, big screen TVs and plenty of lounge space.

Singles ping-pong tournaments:

  • $10 donation required to enter
  • Bracket style - 16 people per tournament
  • 11-point games, standard basement ping-pong rules
  • Winner receives 1/3 of the pot (Second place receives his/her/their money back)

Singles pool tournaments:

  • Donation: $10 per person to enter
  • Bracket style - 16 people per tournament
  • Standard 8 ball basement rules
  • Competitions will be broken into advanced, intermediate, beginner levels
  • Winner receives 1/3 of the pot (Second place receives his/her/their money back)

Private fun play:

  • Just hop on a table! (Limit 30 minutes if others are waiting please)

Challenge the Champ: $10 upfront donation to play

  • Challenge a Ping Pong Master to 1 on 1.
  • Games to 11, service switches every 2 points
  • Challenger receives $1 back for every point scored

Venue Space: 8 Ping Pong tables, 8 Pool tables, 3 Foosball tables, full bar and kitchen à la carte.
