The Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2018 Community Breast Health granting cycle (April 2018 to March 2019) is currently available. The deadline to apply will be December 8, 2017, and award notifications will be made at the end of Februrary 2018. You must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) prior to applying. Community Breast Health grants support programs providing access to breast health/breast cancer education, screening coordination, diagnosis, treatment and support for those who are medically-underserved in the New York metropolitan area. To apply for a Komen Greater NYC Community Breast Health Grant your organization must be:

  1. A federally tax exempt entity — governmental organizations under Section 170(c)(1) or nonprofit organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code. Applicants must prove tax‐exempt status by providing a letter of determination from the IRS.
  2. Located in the Komen Greater NYC service area — the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Rockland Counties.
  3. A current or planned provider of breast health services.

The funding period is 12 months and based on the Komen Greater NYC fiscal year — April 1st through March 31st. Programs applying for the CBH grant may request up to $75,000 over this 1 year period. Organizations that have previously received Komen Greater NYC funding are welcome to apply for additional funding.
