It's easy to help create a world without breast cancer - run... walk... pledge... volunteer! Be a part of the Komen New York City Race for the Cure® - the premier fundraiser for the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Join more than 25,000 New Yorkers - including over 1,600 breast cancer survivors - at our annual 5K Run/Walk and help run breast cancer out of town!

Through July 15, registration is only $25 - register now and save $5!

Take The $250 Challenge

Please check the online registration box and take The $250 Challenge. If every 2008 Race participant had raised at least $250, Komen Greater NYC would have been able to provide $500,000 more in grants to help local organizations provide breast health education, screening and treatment. (For those of you who raised a lot more than $250 in previous years, please keep up the good work!) When you register online, check that you want to participate. If you're already registered, just raise a minimum of $250. Either way, you'll be helping Komen Greater NYC provide more grants to our community, and you'll be eligible to receive pledge prizes.

This is a sample of what your $250 provides:

• A full clinical breast exam including mammography
• Two mammograms
• Educational information on good breast health
• Hot nutritious meals for women with breast cancer and their children
• Patient navigation services for women with abnormal mammograms
• Legal assistance for women with breast cancer

Please join us in this goal. Working together, we can fulfill our vision of a world without breast cancer.

Be sure to save your bib and use your Race number to order finish line photos from brightroom.com after the Race.

*For an extra $20, avoid the rush and long lines at Advance Registration and on Race Day. Purchase a Premium Upgrade and have your t-shirt and bib mailed to you beforehand! The fee includes a $15 tax deductible contribution to Komen Greater NYC.

Sleep In for the Cure^®

Not a morning person? Are you going to be out of town on Race Day? Can’t get a sitter for the kids? Do you have to work? Sign up for Sleep In for the Cure and help run breast cancer out of town from home or wherever you’ll be on September 13!

Pledge

Pledges account for most of the money raised at the New York City Race for the Cure®. Help run breast cancer out of town by getting friends and family to pledge today!

Register for The $250 Challenge - if every participant raised just $250, Komen Greater NYC would be able to award as much as $1 million more in grants to local community breast health programs in 2010, as well as provide more funding for research.

Even if this is your first time, you have the capacity to be an incredible fundraiser! Just ask. People will be happy to support the mission of a world without breast cancer.
