Its Not Too Late to Show Your Support in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Komen New York City Race for the CureŽ

On behalf of Susan G. Komen, thank you so much for your support in the fight against breast cancer.
On this day over 25,000 New Yorkers, including more than 1,600 breast
cancer survivors, came together to run breast cancer out of town.

One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast
cancer in her lifetime. My cousin was a one in 8. I ran in celebration of her fight and to support the cause.

Last year, the Komen NYC Race for the Cure raised over $5.7 million,
which allowed us to fund more than $3.9 million in grants to local
breast health education, screening and treatment programs and national
peer-reviewed research. Donations are tax deductible.

Donations are still being accepted!

Thank you for visiting my personal webpage. Please support my
participation in the Komen New York City Race for the CureŽ and donate
today!

Together, we can create a world without breast cancer.

Ang and the Netterettes

A special thanks to Angela Charron and her Netterettes. I asked Angela to participate in Race for the Cure and she took it one step further. As a successful team captain she exceeded her fundraising goal and recruited a wonderful team of 5. Yea Netter Real Estate team!

Along with my fundraising...

I met and chatted with some wonderful people at Equinox Fitness in Woodbury. Cheryl a special thanks to you and all of your volunteer work you do to support others who are survivors like you. To all the men and women from Mike Borska's spin class that were generous in their support for the cause...you all are awesome! Kristen thanks for your reminders and shout outs. Mike again thanks for the endorsement. To the survivors I spoke with and those who were personally touched by the cause...I am so happy that I was able to triple my personal goal in order to fight breast cancer. This was for you. Who is in it with me for next year?

Chemo today at Sloan
I just received an email from Karen letting us know that she is very tired but wanted to let us know that Sloan was taking good care of her. She said they spent time educating her on the process and what to expect. I am just so fortunate to have met great people on my journey of fundraising. One person in particular, who is a survivor, was gracious enough to give me her contact information for my cousin to call at anytime. Lastly one more thank you to all those who helped me in my journey to get here at more than triple of my donation goal. You have all made a difference.

Cousin starting Chemo shortly
I am running on Sunday as well as fundraising for the Susan G Komen foundation because the one person out of 8 was my cousin. Not only my cousin, but her mother as well as her grandmother who both died at a very early age in their 40's. I run to raise awareness, help SGK in their efforts to support the community and to ultimately fight breast cancer.
