Please join team "The WTFC", and over thirteen thousand New Yorkers and over a thousand breast cancer survivors in Central Park on Saturday, September 10th, 2016 for the 26th annual Komen Greater NYC Race for the Cure.
This is our 9th year of participation. Last year our team raised over $64,000 giving us a eight-year total of over $252,000. We won the largest community team award three years in a row with over 100 walkers and we have the coolest t-shirts! So please register and join us today!
Together, the funds we raise help tens of thousands of our fellow New Yorkers. Funding mammograms, clinical breast exams, support services for women, men, and families, education, and of course research.
Year by year, story by story, and dollar by dollar the efforts of teams like ours save lives. The funds we raise help tens of thousands of our fellow New Yorkers, funding mammograms, clinical breast exams, support services for women, men, and families, education, and of course research.
Last year alone, our efforts resulted in nearly 1,000 cases of breast cancer being diagnosed right here in the area. That is nearly 1,000 examples of life-saving treatments for women you may know!
Nationwide, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Last year alone, nearly a quarter million women and 2,500 men were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Approximately 40,000 women and 400 men died from the disease.
Our team needs your support so we can accomplish more. Please give generously, every dollar counts!
Together we WILL create even more survivors!
